Welcome to Cozy Companions Pet Sitting & Pet Care (“Cozy Companions,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Use govern your use of our services, website, and communications. By booking services or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. Services Provided
Cozy Companions provides pet sitting, pet care, and related services as agreed upon at the time of booking. Services may include in-home pet sitting, drop-in visits, feeding, walking, companionship, and basic care as outlined in your service agreement.
2. Client Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about yourself and your pet(s)
- Disclose any medical conditions, behavioral issues, allergies, or special needs of your pet(s)
- Ensure your pet(s) are up to date on required vaccinations and legally licensed where applicable
- Provide safe access to your home, including working locks, alarms, and clear care instructions
- Inform us promptly of any changes to pet care needs or emergency contacts
Failure to provide accurate information may result in service refusal or termination.
3. Booking, Payments, and Cancellations
Booking
Services must be scheduled in advance and are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline or cancel services at our discretion.
Payments
Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking. Payments are due as agreed and may be processed through third-party payment providers.
Cancellations
Cancellation policies, including notice requirements and potential fees, will be communicated at the time of booking. No-shows or late cancellations may be subject to charges.
4. Emergency Care and Veterinary Authorization
In the event of an emergency, Cozy Companions is authorized to seek veterinary care for your pet(s) as deemed necessary. You agree to be responsible for all veterinary costs and related expenses. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your emergency contact prior to obtaining care when possible.
5. Access to Property
You authorize Cozy Companions to enter your residence for the purpose of providing agreed-upon services. You agree to secure aggressive animals, hazardous materials, and unsafe conditions. Cozy Companions is not responsible for damage caused by pets, normal wear and tear, or issues arising from undisclosed hazards.
6. Health, Safety, and Behavior
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if a pet exhibits aggressive, dangerous, or destructive behavior, or if the environment is deemed unsafe. Additional fees may apply for pets requiring extra care beyond what was initially disclosed.
7. Liability and Indemnification
While we take reasonable care in providing our services, Cozy Companions is not liable for:
- Illness, injury, escape, or death of a pet due to causes beyond our control
- Damage to property caused by pets
- Acts of nature, third-party actions, or unforeseen circumstances
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cozy Companions from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your pet’s behavior, undisclosed conditions, or breach of these Terms.
8. Photos and Updates
With your permission, we may provide photos or updates of your pet during services. Photos may be used for marketing purposes only with your consent.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, logos, and images, is the property of Cozy Companions and may not be used or reproduced without written permission.
10. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate services at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, safety concerns, or inappropriate conduct.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state/province in which Cozy Companions operates.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
